2 Families...1 Football Rivalry

In one corner, the Seckers, a dyed-in-the-wool Notre Dame family; and in the opposing corner, Aaron Markos, University of Nebraska alum. Julia and Aaron decided that not even a football rivalry as fierce as that between their alma maters would get in the way of true love.

We started the day at the Secker home, where we had the honor of capturing Julia and Aaron meeting for the first time that day. It was the most touching moment of the day. The families and bridal party made their way over to Dominican for their portraits before we trucked it on down to the home of the biggest block party: Old St. Pat's. We were fortunate to capture Father Jack Wall's final wedding ceremony at OSP's. Following the ceremony, we headed back out to Oakbrook Hills to the big tent on the lawn, where the party was underway. Julia and Aaron gave the crowd a show with their perfectly choreographed dance to Keith Urban's "Somebody Like You". Shortly after, Julia presented Aaron with his groom's cake: a University of Nebraska football field, complete with goalposts!

A visual sampling of the days events, you ask? (Please allow a few minutes for the movie to load to your computer. You must have Quicktime to view the slideshow. To download the software visit the Quicktime homepage. )

Be sure to register at collages.net, with the username "Markos" to view the rest of the day's images are ready for viewing (the password will be available from the bride and groom). Enjoy!
